Hi Folks,
It is officially summer time and solstice and festival celebrations have begun! We just returned from an exciting week of travel to the northwest bringing the Gospel Thunder Funk to Oregon and Washington. Traveling through this beautiful area of the country is always a treat and we were not disappointed.
College was out of session and though wednesday in Eugene was a virtual ghost town, we had fun rocking Cozmic Pizza in Eugene for the first time and made some new fans and friends for life!
If you are lucky enough to be in Oregon and driver east or west along the beautiful Columbia river make it a point to stop in at the River City Saloon in Hood River,OR. Amazing farm to table kitchen that includes one of the best house cured corned beef rueben I have ever enjoyed. Great people, great stage, we will definitely be back.
The solstice celebration in Seattle did not disappoint. We teamed up with Juno What? and local heroes Polyrhythmics
for a capacity show at Nectar Lounge. Seattle is an amazing city and the Fremont area has some serious flavor worth exploring.
Our last show of the run was at the 4 Peaks Music Festival in Bend,Oregon. Not enough can be said about this amazing family, grass roots music festival. We played two sets in the tented stage in between the Pimps of Joytime and Carolyn Wonderland to a raging crowd of young and old music lovers.
Hot Buttered Rum played one of my favorite sets of music I have ever seen from them and the location and everything about this festival puts in on the not to be missed list! Thanks for having us!!
