Hey Folks,
Tracorum has returned to San Francisco for a brief rest after the second installment of our 2013 Tour in support of our new album “Tricked” Our most recent adventures took us back through Park City,Utah where we celebrated a landmark birthday with our esteemed drummer Inx. What was originally declared “Birthday Week” and then “Birthday Month” has officially been designated “Birthday Year” so keep sending gifts and bringing cakes to celebrate the life of a man born to play drums!

After Park City we found ourselves rocking out in Stillwater,OK before heading south to Texas and crashing head first into SXSW. This was Tracorums’ first time showcasing during SXSW and it was a blast. Red Gorilla Music Festival would provide Tracorum with their stages and we quickly found ourselves slicing through out of tune guitars and abundant hairspray in route to laying our original rock and soul down on the stage. We got a great review from Tyler Williamson @ KDHX in Austin.

“Sweet southern-style lemonade was made of stumbling into San Francisco’s Tracorum. Lured into HandleBar by the pure energy of the lead guitar, hell-bent on getting the perfect squeal out of his devil-horned Gibson SG, the band would fit in nicely with the twangy side of Bob’s Scratchy Records on 88.1 KDHX. Old enough to appreciate and invoke Jerry Lee Lewis on the keys, the hellbilly foursome manifested youth via metal licks and nonstop roadhouse rock.

Still in town after the SXSW madness had subsided shows at The Saxon Pub in Austin and then Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood,TX connected the band with some new lifetime friends and fans. If you don’t know about Poodies here is a short bit. Poodie was Willie Nelson’s road manager for 50+ years. Artists to have called Poodies home include Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Freddy Powers, Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel, Jerry Jeff Walker, Billy Joe Shaver, Toby Keith, Kevin Fowler, Pat Green, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Billy Bob Thornton, Gary P. Nunn and many more. Both of these shows were a reminder to always give 110% at every show, indeed you never know who you might run in to or what might happen!

Memphis was great and our first time playing Asheville,NC and Charlotte,NC were amazing. An overwhelmingly great response to our music made all the traveled miles seem more than worth it. Can’t wait to get back to the East Coast and continue spreading the word. We shot across the country and in 2 days and 1500 miles found ourselves rocking with friends in Boulder,CO. We left Boulder on a Wednesday afternoon, dropped our transmission 2 hours later, got towed to Grand Junction in the midst of finding a new transmission, 12pm Thursday the new transmission was installed and ready and 6 hours later we pulled into the one and only Mystic Hot Springs!! What a magical and delightful place to play music and gather energy!!! We really didn’t want to leave!! Here is a short clip from that amazing spot!

We left Mystic Hot Springs early in the morning and landed at the Himmel Haus in South Lake Tahoe to rock with Pet Projectz boys and the good folk of South lake Tahoe. Yeehaw!! Saturday we were off to Lost on Main in Chico,Ca. Awesome crowds continue to build there in Chico and we are looking forward to Wild Mountain Faire in June! Sunday was our final appearance at the Alpine Meadows music series and a great way to finish the 2nd leg of our 2013 touring!! Thanks to all the folks who came out and supported the band, we will see you soon!!
